Traveled to Broadmeadows for the 2019 Hume Business Awards. Here's an interesting fact, Jimbo grew up in Broadmeadows. I know the suburb pretty well. Made my way to the Town Hall Broadmeadows which has a new makeover. Looks pretty impressive compared to how I use to remember it lol. Anyway, tonight was about acknowledging and celebrating the achievements of Hume businesses and the contribution they have made to the Hume economy and the wider community. Congratulations to all the finalists. You're all winners in my book. I know it's not easy running a business, being a finalist is a great achievement in itself. And a BIG Congratulations to the winners. It's great to be acknowledged for all your hard work. Well done to Dulux Australia, who took out the Business of the Year 2019 Award for its innovation, contribution to the community and local jobs.
Well done to Hume City Council for putting together an Amazing night. Jimbo's Amazing Photobooth was a big hit entertaining everyone in between the breaks. Glad everyone got into it and took home a photo strip to remember the night. Till next year! Photography is finally back. For those of you who remember, I use to offer Photography back in the day, 2010 till 2015, I put an end to it as it became too much running Jimbo's Amazing Photobooth and editing photos. I had no social life lol. With today's technology, based on the Gif Booth, Roaming Social Photography is possible and easier then ever before. Guests can share branded images instantly via SMS or Email. Photography the way it should be. I remember it use to take half a day to edit the photos and then I would post out a DVD which took up to a week to get back to a client via Australia Post. I also purchased a couple of mirrorless Canon cameras. Canon RP and Canon M50, looking forward to getting back into event photography without the editing side of things. It's what Jimbo use to do before he started Jimbo's Amazing Photobooth
Had an Amazing time at Arun & Janith's Wedding at Melbourne Zoo. Held in the intimate Bong Su Room. It was the perfect place to celebrate a special day. We even had the Tree Kangaroo watching all of the fun. it turned out to be a wild night of dancing and photobooth fun with Jimbo's Amazing Photobooth. One of the highlights of the night was when the guests were handed light sabers for the final song and forming an arch to send the lovely couple on their way. Congratulations :)
Finally put together a Glama Booth page on my website. I had a test shoot with Alice back in March this year. Found Alice on Instagram. Asked her if she was interested in a photo shoot and this was the outcome. She was amazing to work with. Didn't need to give her any ideas or direction. She was a natural in front of the camera and I love the final result. Thanks Alice :) Find her on Insta here.
If you are looking for something new and different, The Glama Booth is for you. It's going to be a big hit with Weddings. Anther Amazing Halloween Party at Club Delaray. This is Jimbo's second year attending & scaring the kids lol It's a fun family friendly event with lots of activities for the kids. Everyone dresses up in their favourite spooky outfit to have their photo taken with Jimbo's Amazing Photobooth. Come on down next year if you're a local.
How Amazing is this backdrop?. Jimbo had an Amazing opportunity to set up his Amazing Photobooth on the one and only State Theatre @ The Arts Centre Melbourne for Care More Week. It was magical. It didn't even seem real. Everyone was in awe. I remember seeing Prince on this stage back in 2016 for the Piano & Microphone concert. It was fascinating to stand on stage, look out towards where I was sitting while watching the genius perform and see a different perspective. Defiantly a memory I'll never forget. Thank you Arts Centre Melbourne.
Had a Gif'n Fun time at Channel 9's The Block Open for Inspection Fans gathered nice and early to inspect the 5 houses at the Oslo on Grey st, St Kilda. I arrived 7am to set up and fans were already lined up waiting. I was told several camped out the night before. That's dedication. The houses are up for auction in November. I didn't get a chance to check them out. From what I have seen they look AMAZING! I have no idea who will win? But wish them all the best. Scott & Shelley may have or may have not used Jimbo's Amazing Gif Booth lol This was one of my favourite photos taken on the day.
Wow, Loving these Photos. My friend Hayley and her Husband Phil have been nominated for 2019 Wedding of the Year. Feel free to check out their Amazing Photos and Vote. Jimbo was there with Jimbo's Amazing Photobooth back in January at Metropolis Events. It was a Wild Night that couldn't have been any more Perfect! Photographer - Miranda Stokkel Photography.

The Gif Booth was at the Movember campaign launch. It's a great company changing the face of men’s health. Check out their website to see all the amazing work they are doing. Get involved or donate. @ www.au.movember.com. Jimbo's Amazing Photobooth has been working together with Movember for a few yeas now. Love the team and all the wild events they put together for a great cause. Also, tried out the latest feature of the Gif Booth - Video FX. Received a great response. Check out the videos below with the Glitch FX
The GLAMA Booth has been an idea I've been thinking about for a while now. The idea was to combine photography and photoboothing together. You can say a photobooth already does this but I wanted to use the lastest photobooth software with a giant umbrella to take photos unlike any other photobooth. The Photoboth software has a beautify filter which softens the skin and makes everyone look Amazing. Photos are then emailed or sent via SMS instantly. Above are a couple of photos of the Glama Booth set up at The Boatbuilders Yard, South Wharf where it was used at it's first event for the RETENTION EOBY PARTY. Turned out to be a great success. OMG. Just stumbled across these photos on an old computer. This is Jimbo's Original Photobooth. This is how Jimbo's Amazing Photobooth first began back in 2010. I built this photobooth using IKEA kitchen cabinets. I was stuck with the actual body for the photobooth until I wandered through IKEA. I relaised these kitchen cabinets would work perfectly. I bought 3, attached some wheels, led lights and 3 lamps and BANG. Jimbo's Amazing Photobooth was born. I still have this photobooth in my office. I don't think I can depart with it. So many memories lugging this around Melbourne attending every party imaginable. This photoboth has seen it all. Capturing memories that will last a life time to cheeky drunken photos people wish they never took lol. I retired this booth back in 2014/2015. I'm pretty sure people still have photostrips from the origianal booth still stuck on their fridge. The original printer took around 50 seconds to print one photo. Now it's about 12 seconds. Photostrips had to be cut into two with scissors. How times have changed lol. The Name Jimbo's Amazing Photobooth was a joint effort. When the first print came out of the phiotobooth, I said to my girlfriend at the time "This is AMAZING!" She replied, "Why don't you call it Jimbo's Amazing Photobooth?" and that was that. My first booking was for a girls 21st birthday party. It was a big hit and I knew I was onto something.
Thank you to all my Amazing fans who have reccommended, booked again and again and again. It's the only reason Jimbo's Amazing Photobooth has kept going all this time. It's nealry been 10 years, hard to beleive. It's been a blur, amazing fun, wild, crazy, hard work and many challenges faced along the way, but Jimbo's Amazing Photobooths have captured so many memories, some forgoten, others still laughed about til this day. I've met so many Amazing people. Some I've forgotten, others I cannot forget. I've been to your engagement party and your wedding, met your newborns, atended their 1st birthday and watched your family grow. I have many clients I call friends and all these friendships have became possible from a simple idea I had back in 2010. Thanks for the amazing memories and look forward to many more! |
